During COVID-19, we have moved our transportation from public to private. Weekend-Adventures has acquired a passenger van that will be used.

We are located in the city and county of San Francisco, California.

In case of an illness that cannot be remedied by rest and water, the program leader will promptly notify the parent/guardian and make arrangements for the child to be picked up early. Our illness policy is outlined in the parental agreement.

Parents/guardians are given the direct cell number for the program leader and information on the day’s activities.

Weekend Adventures is a free program, thanks to our generous Donors and Sponsors.

We serve youth/children in San Francisco City and County who live in neighborhoods that have gone unchecked and as a result are filled with adversity such as drug sales and usage, violence and extreme filth.

Each program runs six weeks, six consecutive Saturdays.

No, we are a day program and do not have any overnight trips.

Yes, we are insured.

Each volunteer, who works directly or indirectly with our youth, have gone through a thorough background check. During COVID-19, we have adopted the SFDPH guidelines to reduce exposure to our participants. We have also reduced the number of participants in each cohort from eight to five.

Yes, all volunteers and staff, who work directly with our youth, have been trained in First Aid and CPR.

Because of COVID-19, our adult to youth ratio has been reduced from eight to five. So the ratio is 1:5.
