WHO WE ARE
Weekend-Adventures is a nonprofit program serving youth and children who live in or near the tenderloin in San Francisco, CA. Weekend-Adventures provides educational resources and arts, science, outdoors programs, and mentorship to underprivileged youth, empowering them to achieve their full potential and become leaders.
PROGRAMS
An Adventure that Changes Everything
Every Saturday, for six weeks, we invite two cohorts of eight children from third to eight grade to participate in our weekend adventure. Our experiential curriculum in the arts, science and outdoors is tailored to each cohort and is designed to foster confidence, inspire creativity, and boost curiosity.

Arts
Cultural awareness and a strong sense of belonging are central to our arts program, where youth are invited to explore and celebrate the rich diversity of the Bay Area.Through activities such as nature journaling, museum visits, and music workshops, participants engage with a variety of cultural expressions
Science
Science is a cornerstone of our program, providing youth with the tools to explore and understand the natural world and the principles that govern it. Through engaging, hands-on experiments, participants delve into observation, measurement, and testing, gaining practical experience with the scientific method.
Outdoors
Our outdoor programs offer a dynamic way for youth to connect with nature, challenge themselves physically, and cultivate resilience. Activities such as hiking and kayaking encourage participants to step outside their comfort zones and foster personal growth.
